Getting to know Lianne Figueroa

My objective as a Marriage and Family therapist is to collaborate with my clients, while providing a safe and non-judgmental space, to examine solutions toward stress together. I can assist individuals, couples, and families to improve their communication skills, coping methods, and boundaries to progressively move forward. Though I may be viewed as a relational expert, my diverse experience of working with multiple backgrounds, and age ranges has allowed me to understand that clients are truly the experts of their own lives, and can achieve their goals with courage as well as guidance, which I intend to provide. My approach is systemic, which allows me to observe patterns and maintain an open mind toward all aspects of a situation. Methods of therapy I often use are Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Structural Family Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Experiential Therapy. My specialty areas include depression, anxiety, family conflict, infidelity, marital issues, etc. Through individual experiences, life’s transitions, and exploration of self, it is not uncommon to lose one’s sense of hope or worth. However, taking the first step to seek guidance through these challenging times can lead to a fulfilling journey of clarity.
