About Linda Golden
Linda was born and raised in Mississippi. After becoming a nurse in 1983, she spent time abroad in Izmir, Turkey for a couple of years. Returning to the States, she began a career in geriatrics where she held a position as Director of Nursing for 12 plus years. While living in Austin, Texas, she commuted to San Antonio where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 1994. Linda later obtained a Masters Degree and a dual Certification in Family Nursing Practice and Clinical Nurse Specialist from the University of South Alabama in 2005. In August 2011, she received a Doctorate in Nursing from Chatham University.
Linda’s experience includes labor and delivery, medical/surgery, orthopedic, geriatric, telemetry as well as bariatric surgery. Linda is experienced in the field of Bariatric Surgery and is an invaluable addition to the staff. Her expertise as a Doctor of Nursing practice promotes patient education and facilitate effective collaboration among our surgeons, internist and other healthcare disciplines.
Linda continues to be an active member in her home town of Marks, Miss. She recently established two nursing scholarship for high school graduates of Quitman County High School. She has donated an abundant of school supplies to children in Mississippi for the past 15 years.

Linda is an amazing Nurse Practitioner, very knowledgeable and motivating. Always giving great ideas on how to stay active when you have a busy schedule. She is also very encouraging, which has really helped me stay on track with my weight loss!!! Thank you Linda!! Thank you Sage!!
