Getting to know Lindsay Fisher

Lindsay is a caring mental health nurse who helps people feel better emotionally. She creates a safe place where you can talk openly about your problems. Lindsay treats many mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and eating disorders. She develops a personal plan for each client, using methods that have been proven to work. Lindsay earned her Bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University, a Master’s in Nursing from Mount St. Joseph University, and holds a Certificate in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from Purdue University. She keeps learning about new ways to help people with mental health. When she's not working, she enjoys time with family, traveling, and staying active in her community. Lindsay is ready to work with you to improve your mental health and help you deal with life's challenges.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I specialize in psychiatric medication management with a genuine commitment to personalized care. My practice is built around attentive listening—not simply noting your symptoms, but developing a real understanding of how they are shaping your daily life, relationships, career, and overall sense of wellbeing. Your first visit is intentionally thorough. I take time to learn about your mental health background, current struggles, previous treatment experiences, relevant medical history, and what you hope to achieve. Investing that time upfront means every recommendation I make is grounded in a full, accurate picture of your individual circumstances—and the more clearly I understand who you are, the more effectively I can design a plan that fits into your life rather than disrupting it. That first conversation sets the tone for everything that follows, and I want you to leave it feeling genuinely understood and confident in the direction we are taking together. My care is rooted in current research and clinical evidence while staying flexible enough to honor what makes your situation unique. When we discuss medication options, I keep things clear and accessible—you will understand how each medication works, why it suits your specific needs, what improvement to realistically expect and when, and which side effects to monitor. I start at appropriate doses, track your response through consistent follow-ups, and refine the plan based on clinical observations and your direct feedback. I am also mindful of practical realities—cost, insurance coverage, and whether a dosing schedule realistically fits your daily routine. Between appointments, please reach out if side effects arise or your symptoms shift—I would much rather connect with you promptly than have you navigate concerns alone. I also coordinate with your other providers when it strengthens your overall care, because collaborative treatment consistently leads to better outcomes.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Each person who comes to me brings a story all their own—and that's precisely where we start. Your first appointment runs roughly 60 minutes, devoted entirely to understanding your experience. What are you struggling with? How long has it been going on? What approaches have you already tried? And how is all of it shaping your everyday life, your relationships, and your sense of wellbeing? I'll also collect key details about your medical and psychiatric history, your family's mental health background, the medications you take, any substance use, and the broader life circumstances surrounding what you're facing. A sound diagnosis and effective treatment rest on seeing the whole picture, so I listen attentively and ask follow-up questions—never to pry, but to genuinely grasp what's happening for you. Mental health symptoms can stem from many different sources, and pinpointing the right diagnosis is what guides us toward the most effective way forward. When we explore medication options, I keep things clear and down to earth. I'll describe how a given medication works, what a realistic timeline for improvement looks like, which side effects show up most often, and how we'll keep track of your progress. Your preferences, concerns, and daily life all weigh meaningfully into the choices we reach together—this is a truly shared process, not a prescription dictated from above. Nothing proceeds without your complete understanding and consent. Ongoing medication management visits typically run 20 to 30 minutes, held monthly once your treatment levels out. In these sessions we look at how you're responding, screen for any side effects, discuss adherence and the obstacles in your way, and make whatever clinically sound adjustments help fine-tune your care. Open, collaborative treatment is the norm here—you're an active, valued partner in every decision we make. Above all, I want you to feel heard, respected, and sincerely supported through every step of your treatment.

Lindsay is always very helpful and accommodating. She makes me feel comfortable and supported. I am very lucky to have found her!
Lindsay Fisher has far exceeded my previous experiences with mental health professionals. She's so kind, uplifting and knowledgeable. She's been the most intelligent and analitical Dr I've ever met. She really seems to take pride in her practice, it's honestly been a breath of fresh air.
This company pretends to have appointments but after you fill out their forms they tell you they don't have anyone available for 2 weeks. When I said I would reschedule with someone else in zocdoc they said they had 12 providers on there. So they are misleading clients in order to get business

Let me just say I’ve been skeptical about finding a psychiatrist or somebody to talk to, but I finally muster up the courage to do so and I’m glad I did. I was heard I was understood. I was seeing as a mother individual. I felt safe. Looking forward to my second appointment.
