Lindsay Fuson, APRN

Lindsay Fuson, APRN

Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatry)
GA
Getting mental health care can be scary, and opening up your life story to a stranger can feel vulnerable, but know that it takes great courage and bravery. I earned my Bachelor's and Master's in Nursing from Emory University, and as a nurse practitioner, I conduct evaluations, create treatment plans, and provide medication management. My care is truly patient-centered, and I strive to create a partnership, which is what healthcare should be about. I primarily work with teens and adults, but I do see some children depending on the level of care. I believe in evidence-based treatment and taking the time to listen to a patient's experience and goals. I work closely with a group of talented therapists and can provide referrals to my trusted colleagues.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I truly love this work—there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing my patients reconnect with what gives their lives meaning. While I’ll probably enjoy our conversations, my goal is healing—and that means you’ll eventually need to see less of me. When that happens, it means I’ve done my job well. I’m also a late-diagnosed psychiatric provider with ADHD, which gives me a unique perspective. It’s not just a challenge—it comes with its own set of superpowers, and I bring that understanding into the care I provide.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I provide virtual appointments for most visits—making care easy, flexible, and accessible from wherever you are. The initial evaluation is typically 45 minutes, and completing the intake form ahead of time helps us make the most of that time together. I offer ADHD screening and assessment and can often reach a diagnosis during the first appointment. If more time or clarity is needed, we’ll take it—especially in more complex cases. When starting a new medication, I usually recommend a follow-up in two weeks to check in and make any needed adjustments. My approach is to work collaboratively with you to find the right tools and support. Over time, you’ll see less and less of me—and get back to your life feeling more grounded, focused, and well.
