Lindsay Fuson, PMHNP-BC, APRN

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
GA
Lindsay Fuson, MSN, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with nearly a decade of clinical experience. She provides psychiatric care for teens and adults with ADHD, anxiety, depression, trauma, and mood disorders, with particular interests in neurodivergence and women’s mental health. Many of Lindsay’s patients come to her looking for a more thoughtful and individualized approach to psychiatric care—especially when previous treatment hasn’t quite fit or they feel there may be more to the picture. She takes time to understand each patient’s symptoms, history, daily life, and goals rather than focusing on a diagnosis alone. Her approach is evidence-based, collaborative, and integrative. Treatment may include psychiatric medication management while also considering sleep, lifestyle, hormonal changes, nutrition, supplements, and specialty testing when clinically appropriate. Lindsay prioritizes education and shared decision-making, helping patients understand their options and the reasoning behind their treatment plan. As the founder of WellBeing NP, Lindsay is committed to making mental health care feel approachable, thorough, and personal. Her goal is for patients to feel heard and understood while leaving appointments with greater clarity and confidence about what comes next. Lindsay is currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and UnitedHealthcare.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I want new patients to know that our work is collaborative. I’ll take the time to understand what you’re experiencing, what has or hasn’t worked in the past, and what you hope to get from treatment. My approach is evidence-based and individualized. Medication may be an important part of treatment, but I also consider sleep, lifestyle, hormonal changes, nutrition, and other factors that may be affecting your mental health. When appropriate, we can also discuss supplements or specialty testing. I believe you should understand your treatment—not simply be handed a prescription. I’ll explain my recommendations, talk through your options, and make decisions with you. My goal is for you to feel comfortable asking questions, bringing up concerns, and being an active participant in your care.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Our first appointment is focused on getting a clear understanding of what’s bringing you in. We’ll talk through your current symptoms, history, previous treatment experiences, medications, lifestyle, and goals for care. I also want to understand what is working well—not just what isn’t. From there, we’ll develop an individualized treatment plan together. This may include medication, lifestyle recommendations, supplements, or additional testing when appropriate. I’ll explain the reasoning behind my recommendations and make sure you feel comfortable with the plan before moving forward. Follow-up visits allow us to evaluate what’s helping, address any concerns or side effects, and adjust treatment as needed. Mental health treatment is rarely one-size-fits-all, so I view the process as an ongoing collaboration that evolves as we learn what works best for you.

More information on payments and coverage

Lindsay Fuson PMHNP-BC is currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield and UnitedHealthcare. Our team will verify your insurance benefits before your appointment whenever possible and can help you understand your expected copay, deductible, or coinsurance. Any amount due at the time of service is processed using the payment method on file. Because insurance coverage varies by plan, verification of benefits is not a guarantee of payment, and patients are responsible for any balance determined by their insurance company after the claim is processed. For patients who are out-of-network or prefer not to use insurance, self-pay options are also available. Our team is happy to answer questions about costs and coverage before your appointment so you can make an informed decision about your care.
