My name is Lisa, and I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Master's degree in Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania. I also hold a Bachelor's degree from the University of Miami. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in multiple settings, addressing various complex mental health issues, including ADHD, trauma, depression, anxiety, insomnia, and mood disorders.
What should a new client know about working with you?
I specialize in treating adults with mental health conditions including anxiety, depression, OCD, mood disorders, ADHD, insomnia, PTSD and trauma. I approach each patient as a unique individual and tailor my patient's care accordingly. I am passionate about providing quality and comprehensive services.

Dr. Abern was my first Telehealth physician and I will never go back to in-person care because of her. She gets right to the point when it comes to our appointments, which I very much appreciate because of my busy schedule, and I've never waited more than 5 minutes in the virtual waiting room. She is always quick to respond if I ever have questions between appointments and has been so helpful any time I've needed anything. Even though we've never met in person, she has gone above and beyond what any other dr has done for me in the past. I will be a patient of hers for a long time!

Been seeing Lisa for about a year now. She’s always professional while also being very personable and sweet! I’ve always been nervous around psychiatrists but Lisa makes me feel comfortable to tell her what’s going on and ask questions. I highly recommend her!

Lisa is a wonderful, caring provider. She's very easy to talk to, and I always know my concerns will be listened to and validated, without any concern of feeling judged or dismissed. She is also very responsive if I reach out with any questions or concerns, and she responds quickly and makes sure everything is resolved. It is so refreshing to have a provider that I can trust and that I can be confident is looking out for my best interests. I would recommend Lisa to anyone.

I cannot say enough good things about Lisa; she gets it! I have never had a healthcare provider listen to me like her. She even pointed out to me that based on my history, I couldn't take extended release medication. No one has ever been so thorough with my medical history and caught that. I had been suffering for years! Lisa is an amazing APRN so much that I stalked, I mean followed, her from her previous practice. And I will continue to follow her and be her patient as long as she'll have me! I am so grateful for her, my life and ADHD is finally manageable. Thank you Lisa!!
