About Dr. Lisa Alford

As a board-certified general and vascular surgeon, Dr. Alford has a wealth of experience and knowledge in the field. Dr. Alford completed her general surgery residency at Howard University College of Medicine in Washington, DC. Following that, Dr. Alford completed fellowship training in vascular surgery at McGill University and a mini-fellowship in Endovascular Surgery at New York Presbyterian Hospital. After the fellowships, she has treated many patients as a vascular surgeon using radiofrequency ablation and ultrasound guided foam sclerotherapy at Aesthetic Laser and Vein Center. She also worked as a Wound Care Physician at the Center for Advanced Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine at United Medical Center in Washington, DC and at Georgetown University Hospital. Dr. Alford is dedicated to giving her patients relief from discomfort caused by vein disease with her substantial training and experience in vascular treatment.

Overall, an amazing experience with Dr. Alford and her team. I was amazed to see the results after dealing with painful varicose veins for years. I felt well informed throughout the entire process. I wish I had done this sooner!
Dr. Alford explained everything to me in detail and did not talk to me like I was completely unknowledgeable. I did not feel like a number like I did at another vein clinic. Additionally, Summer was an absolute sweetheart. I can’t recommend this practice and Dr. Alford enough.
