“I really wanted to work with a midwife who has great OBs on hand so that I could focus on vaginal birth and a personal experience but still have support in case things don't go according to plan. Lisa is a midwife on a highly reputable team and she said that the team is "very midwife friendly" which is why she is there. I had my first appointment with her which felt so much warmer and more personal than the previous OB I was seeing. She really took time to answer my questions, give me medical advice, and ease some of my worries. She didn't rush the ultrasound and pointed out different aspects of the baby and the placenta. She even said our baby had a strong heartbeat which was made us feel so happy. I was having a rough pregnancy day (migraine & nausea) when we visited - and I left feeling like she really lifted my spirits despite it being a rough day. I am so excited to work with her further!! She seems like she will be an amazing presence during labor & delivery. ”

About Lisa Cirigliano

*Please note for Dr. Cirigliano, the delivery hospital is Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women & Newborns at 1283 York Avenue.* Dr. Cirigliano will only see patients who are at a minimum of 7 weeks into their pregnancy and will reschedule any patient if applicable. Lisa Cirigliano has been a licensed midwife since 2019, after graduating from the State University of New York, Stony Brook, with a Master's in Nurse Midwifery. Her love and passion have always been providing safe, quality, compassionate care for all women and families. Lisa deeply believes in the power of the woman's body and its innate ability to give birth. She supports and respects the normal physiological processes of labor and birth, using evidence-based practices to enhance the best outcomes for mother and infant. Prior to midwifery, Lisa received her Bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of Phoenix and has been a Registered Nurse since 2000, as well as a certified RNC-OB nurse and lactation counselor since 2014. Lisa worked as a labor and delivery nurse and a birthing center nurse at Mount Sinai West. Lisa resides in Long Island with her three children and three dogs! In her free time, she enjoys reading, spending days at the beach, and skiing with her family.
