About Dr. Lisa Giscombe
Lisa-Gaye R. Giscombe, M.D., is a board-certified Hematologist and Medical Oncologist. She received her medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine. She also holds a Masters in Bio-Medical Science from Florida Atlantic University. She served as an Internal Medicine Resident at the University of Miami/JFK Medical Center Palm Beach Regional GME Consortium. Dr. Giscombe completed her fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at the Roger Williams Medical Center at Boston University.
Dr. Giscombe volunteered with the JFK Hospital Hurricane Preparation Team where she trained and designated to manage teaching service during natural disasters. She also worked with Ross University where she participated in community health fairs as a student volunteer. She was recognized as Outstanding University of Miami Regional Campus Resident of the Year in 2017 for Excellence in Internal Medicine by the American College of Physicians. In her free time, Dr. Giscombe enjoys reading, socializing, and traveling.

Dr. Giscombe was friendly, knowledgeable, patient, and very
thorough. We didn’t feel rushed in any way. She explained everything, answered all of our questions, and even provided new helpful information in regard to my dad’s care. Hours after my father’s appointment, he was still raving about how she took her time explaining everything and that she knows what she’s doing.?

She is very professional, compassionate, friendly and explains her treatment plan in a magistral manner, using a board, like at school. Oh what can I say! I didn’t get to see the DR While I booked my appointment on a Fri for the following Wed (short notice) with a history of XYZ, I kept getting an abundance of calls about not having received my medical records from my previous DR and being told the DR can see me but would have nothing to talk to me about. I would suggest to reschedule but I would get told no, but come in. On the day of my appt, I got a phone call about 30 mins prior to my appt to be told my records came in and you would think, Great! I can go to my appt but no because I needed to arrive 35 mins prior to my appt because of the new patient intake forms needed to be filled out. I told the office I would do after being constantly reminded about not having completed the forms and telling the office I would arrive 35 mins prior once again. You can do it online but takes 48-72 hours for office to receive patient intake forms. Bill my insurance for nothing! Why see a DR if they have nothing to talk to me abt

Dr. G was amazing, she made me feel heard and I immediately felt like I was in the right hands. She listened to me and took time to explain everything that I could expect from blood work to next steps and beyond. Additionally, her staff were so personable and friendly. Jody was wonderful and took her time and the associate who did my intake was extremely pleasant and called me ahead to ensure I was ready and knew what to expect from the visit. I made a connection with every staff member I spoke to from end to end, I would recommend this office to anyone.
