Dr. Lisa Huebner, DC (known to patients as Dr. Lisa), joined The Joint Chiropractic in 2018 and continues to serve residents throughout the 805 area code with rewarding, natural healthcare. “The best thing about chiropractic is helping people’s bodies heal from the inside out,” she says. “It’s a drug-free, surgery-free, shot-free approach. Realigning the spine restores proper function, allowing the body to heal through skilled hands and knowledge—it’s extremely gratifying.” A lifelong Ventura County resident, Dr. Huebner was born in Santa Barbara and raised in Thousand Oaks. She previously practiced in Goleta, Montecito, Simi Valley, and Ventura. Her passion for chiropractic ignited in college when, at her father’s suggestion, she shadowed a chiropractor from her church. Amazed by how hands-on care could restore health, she shadowed him for months and worked in his office during her final two years of undergraduate studies before pursuing chiropractic school. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science and Sports Medicine (emphasis on human performance) from California Lutheran University, followed by her Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) from Palmer College of Chiropractic West Campus in San Jose. Dr. Lisa enjoys a full family life with her husband—an IT professional in a family business in Oxnard—and their young son and daughter. The family adores their French bulldog, Ruby, and their 18 named chickens (including Thelma and Louise). In her free time, she loves baking, working out, listening to audiobooks, and family beach outings. Committed to empowering patients of all ages, Dr. Huebner focuses on spinal alignment, nervous system health, and the body’s innate healing ability, delivering personalized, care.
