Lisa M. Micik is a board-certified dermatology physician assistant who specializes in medical and cosmetic dermatology of the skin, hair, and nails. She has been practicing for 11 years. She graduated from King's College in Wilkes-Barre, PA, with a B.S. in Medical Studies and a Master's in Physician Assistant Studies. Lisa is quick but highly efficient. I was taken in to a room 5 minutes after my appointment time and seen 5 minutes after that. I was with her for less than 10 minutes. While it was quick, it didn't bother me because I felt confident in the exam and treatment she gave me.

The staff & wait time were great. However the provider was extremely rushed—especially for a first visit. It was as if she was double parked with a tow truck looming. The visit was so brief & feedback so abrupt that I didn’t really feel seen or heard at all—to the point that I’d actually prefer to schedule a do-over at another practice if I thought my insurance would cover it.

Lisa was incredibly helpful, friendly, and transparent. Wait time was 10 minutes which is great. She explained the procedure she was going to do well and also that it may not work and what we can do if it doesn't. Front desk and the nurse were very friendly and efficient. Honestly feel bad to leave this review because everyone has off days and location was more convenient than other options and expect I unfortunately won't feel comfortable going back after leaving this; but I really did NOT enjoy my experience.
Lisa was clearly in a hurry the whole time. I made it clear I had not been to any type of dermatology appointment before so I wasn't sure what to expect for procedure but said skin cancer runs in my family so I wanted to begin checks and also very interested in help with skin care products. Because I wasn't sure what else is topic to discuss or what I can have done with the appointment to be still covered by insurance (again I literally said this) I wasn't sure what else to do in kicking off the appointment.
- She jokingly said I lack confidence... honestly not funny, if anything rather insulting, I would expect the healthcare professional to guide me what to expect from the appointment when I verbalized I've not been to one before.
- I felt rushed and uncomfortable the entire time.
- I had multiple instances where it was difficult to communicate with Lisa because she was talking so fast or was questioning my responses in a way that became just awkward after a while.
- She scanned my skin extremely quickly and when it got time for asking questions about skin care she rambled a bunch of information off (none specific to asking about my skin or what I might be looking for). I caught next to nothing to what she said because it was vague and spoken so quickly. I was hoping notes from the assistant in the room would have been made available to me but they were not.
Overall felt like a huge waste of time. Maybe was an off day for Lisa or she was in a hurry for something important. I can only speak to my personal experience.

We met with the Physicians Assistant and she asked good questions and listened carefully. We waited about 10 minutes for the appointment but we had to fill out paperwork. We were in and out of the office in less than 20 minutes but we were given the appropriate time. My sons issue was pretty minor. We'd go back.

I just went in for a routine screening. Lisa was extremely polite, friendly, and most importantly, made me feel comfortable. It's not the easiest feeling sitting in only your boxers with a sheet over your private region with 2 ladies in the room scrutinizing your skin. However, I felt totally comfortable. She actually wound up finding a discoloration on me to be removed and analyzed in the lab, so I am glad I went. This will definitely be my new dermatologist moving forward. Highly recommended.
