About Lorin Grimsley

Meet Lorin, she is a clinical dietitian who specializes in diabetes management. Her education began at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville then she moved on to the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond for her dietetic internship. In 2005 Lorin earned her Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist certification. After her internship in Richmond, Lorin came back to the Knoxville area to begin her career in dietetics, where she started working in a hospital affiliated Wellness Center, primarily teaching weight management classes. She then gained experience on the clinical floors and in an outpatient office. Lorin has previously worked with a popular insulin pump company training patients to use their insulin pump. Her passion for nutrition does not stop with diabetes management but she loves working with people who want to see personal success and have a willingness to change for a healthier lifestyle, by learning to listen to their body’s cues for hunger and learning to follow guidelines for certain disease states. Lorin is very excited for the opportunity to work with you!! Some of Lorin’s life experiences include, living on a small farm, in East Tennessee, with her husband and 2 boys, horses, chickens, dogs and cats. She has run a few half marathons over the years and rides horses for fun. A license is not required for this provider to see patients. This provider holds a Registered Dietitian certification with the Commission on Dietetic Registration.
