I have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a minor in Psychology from Ryerson University (now Toronto Metropolitan) in 2007. I have an MSN from Wayne State University in 2018. My clinical background includes experience in crisis and emergency psychiatry, inpatient psychiatry, medical detox, substance use treatment, community mental health clinics, and hospital-based outpatient behavioral health. I aim to create an open, curious and non-judgmental atmosphere where, together, we can examine the problem(s) and determine the diagnosis. I believe in using evidence-based treatments that align with each individual's values, incorporating components of psychotherapy when necessary and appropriate. Together we can explore evidence-based treatments including pharmacotherapy, lifestyle interventions, sleep hygiene, CBT, MI, supportive psychotherapy and EMDR to facilitate healing and recovery.
