About Lorraine Stevens
Lorraine is a certified physician assistant with over 30 years of clinical experience. She came to Arizona in 2011 from New York, where she attended Long Island University and graduated in 1987 with a Bachelor's in Physician Assistant Studies. She has practiced in both outpatient and inpatient settings in New York and Arizona, primarily focusing on family and internal medicine. Lorraine is dedicated, passionate, and thorough. Alongside Dr. Barbara and Catherine, they work closely together as a team to bring you the best comprehensive care.

My husband and I met with Lorraine for an initial consultation. We both were very impressed. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and very professional as she conducted our visits. She quickly understood our physical issues, made suggestions for us to follow, and provided necessary instructions for staying informed through the patient portal. All of the office personnel were cordial and helpful, too. We are pleased to say this was a very positive experience and would recommend Bestcare Internal Medicine to others.

Because of this being my first appointment that I’ve ever made by myself, I was very nervous. Luckily the entire staff was very supportive, friendly, and communicative about everything! My PA Lorraine was very straight forward and efficient during my appointment. I recommend this location to anybody seeking a good physical/medical attention.

Doctor Stevens was very nice and throughly checked my concerns over. I never felt rushed or being hurried. She is very patient and responsive to my needs. She went out of way to address my needs and established a plan of care. The office staff were nice and supportive of all documents requested prior to seeing the doctor. I highly recommend his practice for your medical needs.

Dr. didn't listen very well and kept insisting with more and more questions when all I needed was a referral. She even admitted that her office can't do psychiatric diagnoses, and I wanted a referral to get seen by a psychiatric professional so I COULD get a diagnosis, only for her to keep asking me questions to get more details despite being unable to diagnose me. This caused me to get anxious and struggle to answer the questions, then she got snippy when my father (who was there as emotional support and to help me answer questions if/when I got too anxious to speak and keep my thoughts in order) spoke up on my behalf to help answer questions. All in all, a somewhat unpleasant experience. I felt as if I was being ignored, or as if she wasn't believing me when I was explaining what was wrong with me.

She was very nice, informative. I don't do well with doctors ( the whole nervous thing). But she made me feel very comfortable right from the start . It was my first visit and she took as long as we needed to get all the information. Explained things too me no doctor ever had. Looking forward to working with her for my health.

The doctor and staff were very friendly and helpful. The doctor actually discovered I had a heart condition and contacted a cardiologist and got me started on medication and got me into see the cardiologist in 2 days! I would definitely recommend Lorraine Stevens and the staff!

If you can fill out the paperwork beforehand, do so, otherwise you will be rushed to fill out the forms in person. I didn’t get to answer a lot of questions on the form.
