Liou, MD, PhD, is a globally recognized leader and innovator in the diagnosis and treatment of both benign and malignant prostate diseases. He is at the forefront of utilizing advanced techniques for prostate care. His research focuses on the genetics of urological cancers and the development of cutting-edge technologies. Dr. Liou also specializes in general urology, cryotherapy, and the use of NanoKnife® and focal therapy for the treatment of prostate cancer and unique treatments for male bladder issues. Dr. Liou is Cleveland Clinic trained, a member of the Tufts Medical School faculty. He is a clinical instructor in surgery at Harvard University School of Medicine and one of the few physicians in New England who are specially trained in using focal cryoablation to treat prostate cancer. Dr. Liou is an Innovator and surgeon-scientist and is recognized as one of Boston’s Top Doctors in 2024 and 2025.
