Getting to know Louise Agyemang

You want a space where you can talk openly about your story, your health, and your emotions without feeling rushed or judged. I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner who started in family medicine, where I saw how untreated depression, anxiety, PTSD, trauma, and ADHD can keep people stuck in cycles of crisis. That experience led me to focus on mental health so I could walk beside adults through their healing journey. I bring a warm, culturally sensitive perspective shaped by my roots in Ghana and my life in the United States, offering LGBTQ+ affirming care grounded in respect, curiosity, and collaboration.

What should a new client know about working with you?

In our work together I combine psychotherapy with careful medication management when it is useful. Before we meet I review your history so we can focus on what matters most, then we talk through options in clear language and choose a plan together. My style is warm and centered on shared decisions, practical skills, and steady follow up.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

If you are ready, I am here to listen and help you make sense of what you are going through. Together we will clarify your goals and build a plan that fits your life. You do not have to navigate depression, anxiety, trauma, PTSD, or ADHD alone. I am currently accepting new adult patients and have appointments available within the week.
