Lud Harris, APRN

Family Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
102 RBC Dr, Ringgold, GA
When patients come to our clinic, they often want to know who will be caring for them and how our practice works. I provide psychiatric care and medical weight management, helping patients address concerns such as depression, anxiety, treatment-resistant symptoms, and metabolic health. My goal is to take the time to truly understand what is going on and develop a thoughtful treatment plan that supports both mental and physical wellness. My partner, Dr. Douglas White, provides family medicine and specializes in substance use disorder treatment. Together, we work seamlessly to offer an integrative approach to care. Our services include hormone replacement therapy, GLP-1–based weight management, and vitamin supplementation when clinically appropriate. We also understand that issues like sexual health and sexual dysfunction can be difficult to talk about, but they are an important part of overall well-being. Our clinic provides a respectful, professional space where those concerns can be addressed. In addition, we offer DOT physicals for commercial drivers. Our goal is simple: provide practical, coordinated care that helps patients feel better and function at their best.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you come to our clinic, you’ll primarily work with me for psychiatric care and medical weight management. My approach is thoughtful, collaborative, and practical. I take the time to listen carefully and understand not only your symptoms, but also your goals, lifestyle, and overall health so we can create a treatment plan that truly fits you. Our practice is built around integrative care. I work closely with my partner, Dr. Douglas White, who provides family medicine and specializes in substance use disorder treatment. Because we work side by side, we’re able to coordinate care seamlessly when mental health, physical health, and lifestyle factors overlap. Depending on your needs, treatment may include psychiatric evaluation, medication management, weight management strategies, hormone replacement therapy, GLP-1 medications, or targeted vitamin supplementation. We also understand that concerns related to sexual health and sexual dysfunction are common but often difficult to discuss. Our clinic offers a respectful and professional environment where those issues can be addressed openly. In addition, our clinic provides DOT physicals for commercial drivers. Our goal is to provide practical, coordinated care that helps you feel better, function better, and move forward with confidence.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Your first visit is focused on getting a clear understanding of your health history, current concerns, and goals. I conduct a comprehensive psychiatric and medical assessment, reviewing symptoms, past treatments, medications, lifestyle factors, and any medical conditions that may be contributing to how you’re feeling. From there, we develop a personalized treatment plan. If you are seeing me for psychiatric care or weight management, we will discuss medication options, behavioral strategies, and medical treatments that may help improve your symptoms and overall well-being. For some patients, this may include GLP-1 medications, hormone replacement therapy, or targeted vitamin supplementation when appropriate. Because our clinic provides integrated care, I collaborate closely with my partner, Dr. Douglas White, who provides family medicine and specializes in substance use disorder treatment. This allows us to address both mental and physical health in a coordinated way when needed. We also help patients with concerns related to sexual health and sexual dysfunction in a professional and discreet manner. Follow-up visits focus on monitoring progress, adjusting treatment when needed, and making sure your care continues to support your long-term health goals.

More information on payments and coverage

Our clinic is currently in the process of credentialing with several insurance plans. During this time, we are operating as a self-pay practice. Patients are responsible for payment at the time of service. We accept major credit cards, HSA/FSA cards, and cash for payment. If requested, we can provide a detailed receipt (superbill) that patients may submit to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement, depending on their individual insurance plan. We believe in transparent pricing and will review the cost of services with you before your appointment so there are no surprises. If you have questions about fees or payment options, our team is happy to help. As we complete the credentialing process, we expect to begin accepting insurance plans and will update our Zocdoc profile and website as those contracts become active.
