What should a new client know about working with you?

When working with me, you can expect a collaborative, respectful, and supportive experience. I take time to understand your concerns, history, and goals so that treatment feels personalized rather than one-size-fits-all. My approach is both compassionate and practical, focusing on helping you gain insight while also building real-world skills you can use outside of sessions. I integrate evidence-based psychotherapy—such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and supportive therapy—with medication management when appropriate. Sessions are structured yet flexible, allowing space for meaningful discussion while staying focused on progress and measurable improvement. I value open communication and shared decision-making. You will be encouraged to ask questions, express preferences, and take an active role in your care. My goal is to help you feel understood, empowered, and equipped to manage symptoms, improve emotional balance, and move forward with greater clarity and confidence.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My work with clients begins with a comprehensive initial evaluation. During this first session, I take time to understand your current concerns, mental health history, medical background, life stressors, and treatment goals. This allows me to form a thoughtful diagnostic impression and discuss treatment options in a clear, collaborative way. Ongoing sessions are structured yet flexible. Each visit typically includes a check-in on symptoms, mood, sleep, stressors, and how current treatments are working. I provide talk therapy during sessions, using evidence-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and supportive therapy. When medication is part of treatment, we review effectiveness, side effects, and make adjustments as needed. I believe treatment works best as a partnership. Sessions focus not only on symptom relief, but also on building coping strategies, improving emotional regulation, and supporting long-term stability. My goal is for you to leave each session with clarity, practical tools, and a plan that feels realistic and supportive of your overall well-being.

Don’t see your insurance?

It’s common for mental health providers to be out-of-network. Many insurance plans offer out-of-network coverage, so you may get partially reimbursed. Learn more

Out-of-pocket fees and assistance
Initial session: $200 for 60 minutes
Ongoing session: $125 for 30 minutes
  • Sliding scale: Offers lower out-of-pocket fees on an individual basis, typically based on your ability to pay
  • Files your insurance claim: You pay the session fee upfront and the provider files the claim for you, so you can get reimbursed directly without worrying about the paperwork
  • Charges post-reimbursement amount: This provider will only charge you for the amount you pay after you get reimbursed from your insurance plan, so you don’t need to pay the session fee upfront

More information on payments and coverage

Payments & Insurance Information Insurance coverage and benefits vary by plan. While I am in-network with several insurance providers, patients are responsible for understanding their individual coverage, including copays, deductibles, and coinsurance. Eligibility and benefits are typically verified prior to appointments; however, final responsibility for payment remains with the patient. Copays, deductibles, and any out-of-pocket balances are due at the time of service. If your insurance plan applies a deductible or does not fully cover a visit, the remaining balance will be billed accordingly. Claims are submitted on your behalf when insurance is used. For patients paying out of pocket, transparent self-pay rates are available and discussed in advance. Limited financial assistance or adjusted self-pay options may be offered on a case-by-case basis, depending on clinical and financial circumstances. My goal is to ensure clarity and fairness around billing while minimizing unexpected costs, so patients can focus on their care with confidence.
