In 2008, Luis was accepted into the Psychiatric Master’s Program at Vanderbilt School of Nursing. While completing his education at Vanderbilt University, Luis worked as a registered nurse in the psychiatric inpatient setting, gaining invaluable experience in acute mental health care. After graduating, he transitioned to work in several outpatient community mental health settings. In these roles, Luis honed his skills in providing culturally sensitive care to diverse populations. In 2023, Luis joined the Open Minds team, bringing his wealth of experience and passion for mental health advocacy. He believes in evidence-based treatment and collaborative care, working closely with his clients to achieve the best outcomes.
