About Dr. Lukas McWhorter
I have been a Family Medicine doctor for over a decade and genuinely love what I do. I grew up in Lubbock, Texas and attended Texas Tech University for undergrad and then Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center for medical school and residency.
As soon as I finished residency, I couldn’t get to Denver quick enough. I have been practicing outpatient Family Medicine in the Denver metro since. My favorite thing about Family Medicine is the connections I get to make with my patients. Whether you’re coming in for your annual physical, an acute problem, chronic disease management, or bringing in your child for a visit, my goal is to listen to your concerns and through a team approach, figure out what is best for your health and goals. I take a particular interest in dermatalogic procedures and LGBTQ+ medicine.
Outside of work, I like to spend time with my dogs Frank and Lucy, love to camp, ski, and fish. I also love college sports of all kinds.
I look forward to partnering with you to accomplish your health goals and getting to know you and your family through the years.

Great front desk, doctor, and nurses! I would highly recommend. I felt like their entire team cared about my health history and needs; they went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable my first visit. Will def be making this my primary care office. I was especially surprised to see they had a separate urgent care right across the hall. It was kind of like a two in one office. The Zocdoc app also works really well and made checkin super easy. Look forward to seeing
my results and his notes.

I have been to the urgent care attached to this office many times so when i wasn't able to get an appt with my regular pcp i checked here and was able to be seen in a couple days. The doctor really listened to me and asked plenty of clarifying questions to figure out what was going on. It is so nice to not feel rushed and to have the provider spend time listening for understanding and replying with information instead of just shoving meds at me and dismissing all my symptoms. I will definitely be setting up the family to be seen here. Very friendly efficient compassionate and informative

My doc is always super supportive and easy to talk to. He is always listening to my concerns and will always make sure I have no additional questions or concerns before ending our appointment. He is always open to online messaging with my crazy schedule, and if needed, he will call me to discuss things. He doesn't make me make an appointment for the same concern over and over again to get to the right answers. Absolutely love that this facility opened, and I found this team. The whole team is friendly and never makes me feel like I am "just another appointment."
