About Dr. Luz Ares
***Please contact the office prior to your appointment*** Dr. Luz Ares is from Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. She graduated Magna Cum Laude in bachelor in Chemistry and Biology in the University of Puerto Rico in 1977. She studied at Caribe Central University, School of Medicine, where she received her medical degree in 1981. She moved to New York in the same year. She did her internship and residency in Internal Medicine in The Brooklyn Hospital from 1981 to 1984. She did her specialty in Kidney medicine from 1984 to 1986 In The Montefiore Hospital Medical Center in the Bronx, New York.. She worked in the dialysis unit of Booth Memorial Hospital from 19887 to 1988. Dr. Ares worked in Comprehensive Family Care Center in the Bronx for three years and in the Elmhurst Hospital Medical Center in the Primary Care Residence Program working in the medicine clinic for twelve years. She is board certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Ares joined Broadway Internal Medicine, P.C. in 2002. She practices internal medicine and provides primary care for adolescents, adults and seniors. The office has the latest medical technology with medical records and electronic prescriptions and a patient portal to provide the best care and facilitate access to the patients.
