About Dr. Luz Ares

Dr. Luz Ares is from Las Piedras, Puerto Rico. She graduated Magna Cum Laude with a bachelor's degree in Chemistry and Biology from the University of Puerto Rico at R?o Piedras in 1977. She studied at Universidad Central del Caribe, School of Medicine, where she received her medical degree in 1981. She moved to New York that same year. Dr. Ares completed her internship at The Brooklyn Hospital Center in 1981 and her residency in Internal Medicine there from 1981 to 1984. She specialized in Kidney Medicine at Montefiore Hospital Medical Center in the Bronx, New York, from 1984 to 1986.
She worked in the dialysis unit of Booth Memorial Hospital from 1987 to 1988. Dr. Ares then worked at the Comprehensive Family Care Center in the Bronx for three years and at Elmhurst Hospital Medical Center in the Primary Care Residency Program, working in the medicine clinic for twelve years. She is board certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Ares joined Broadway Internal Medicine, P.C. in 2002. She practices internal medicine and provides primary care for adolescents, adults, and seniors. The office is equipped with the latest medical technology, including electronic medical records, electronic prescriptions, and a patient portal to provide the best care and facilitate patient access.
