“Yes, I'd recommend Dr. Carpenter to a friend. I was terribly anxious about possibility of a malignant mole, didn't follow my GPS well, and wound up being 15- 20 minutes late for app't. She took me immediately, looked at all the suspicious moles, warts, on my torso, declared them all benign. Even checked out some itchy rough patches on my legs, recommended a non-itch cream, which I already had, then checked my face with a magnifying glass, as she said that was the most vulnerable place for skin cancer in seniors. I was so anxious prior to the app't. and left there in a state of peace. She was thorough and most reassuring.”

About Dr. Lydia Carpenter

A graduate of Harvard Medical School, Dr. Lydia Carpenter has been a board-certified dermatologist since 2008. She has significant experience in pediatric and adult dermatology, as well as specialized training in extended patch testing for allergic contact dermatitis.
Before, during, and after medical school, Dr. Carpenter served a total of more than 20 years in the US Air Force. Throughout her life, Dr. Carpenter, who graduated from Saugus High School in 1989, has earned numerous academic and military honors.
Dr. Carpenter has a strong interest in allergic contact dermatitis and extended patch testing, an area of specialization greatly needed and challenging to master.
Outside of the office, Dr. Carpenter enjoys music, traveling, and spending time with her family and dogs.
