Dietitian

Hi, I'm Lynsey, a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD) with a master's degree in human nutrition from Denver and a dietetic internship completed in Boston. A Registered Dietitian (RD) is a highly trained and credentialed professional in the field of nutrition and dietetics. Registered Dietitians are considered experts in nutrition due to their rigorous education, practical training, and ongoing professional development. Over the past 12 years, I've immersed myself in the world of endurance athletics, achieving personal milestones such as completing 15 half marathons and 3 marathons. My dedication to nutrition stems from a profound connection to sports, witnessing the challenges individuals face with eating disorders and body image concerns. Reflecting on my personal journey, I once subscribed to the notion of categorizing foods as either "good" or "bad," fostering the belief that certain foods were off-limits. I have since come to understand that this perspective is not accurate, and that a balanced and healthy lifestyle can include all types of foods. It is my aspiration to impart this realization to my clients, promoting a more inclusive and sustainable approach to nutrition. Phytofueled Nutrition represents a comprehensive and integrative approach to nourishment, with its foundational principles grounded in three key pillars. This holistic framework embraces a commitment to plant-forward, anti-diet, and health-at-every-size philosophies, aiming to cater to individuals across diverse body types. The name “phytofueled” is inspired by the idea of being powered by plant foods. This doesn’t mean that I require my clients to be vegan or vegetarian, but rather, that plant-foods are emphasized for their proven health benefits. Central to this approach is the rejection of restrictive diets or weight-centric plans, reflecting a firm belief that optimal health is attainable for individuals of all body shapes and sizes. Nutrition is not only my career, but my passion.
