Getting to know Maame S Obiri-Boateng

Your story and your comfort matter as much as your diagnosis. I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner who works with adults facing depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, trauma related symptoms, and other mood concerns. I began as a CNA, then a nurse in intensive and neonatal care, and found that psychiatric care was where I was truly meant to be. I take time to explain medications, side effects, and choices so you feel informed, respected, and supported. In our work you can expect a warm, calm partner who listens closely, notices the details, and builds a plan that eases symptoms without changing who you are.

What should a new client know about working with you?

I provide evaluation and medication management for adults with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and other mood or trauma related symptoms. In our visits we review your story and goals, then choose a plan together that uses the lowest effective dose, watches side effects, and often pairs medication with therapy and coping skills.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

If you worry that treatment might change who you are, I would like to offer a different experience. I am currently accepting new adult patients, with appointments available within the week. We will take time to understand your symptoms, review options clearly, and build a plan that aims for relief while keeping you feeling like yourself.
