Madeleine Potter, APRN, RN

Adult Psychiatric & Mental Health Nurse Practitioner
OR
Hi, I’m Madeleine Potter, a board-certified psychiatric nurse practitioner offering integrative mental health care for teens and adults. I specialize in anxiety, OCD, perfectionism, depression, ADHD, trauma, and hormonal mood challenges like PMDD and postpartum changes. My clients are often high-functioning but overwhelmed—feeling stuck in patterns of self-doubt, burnout, or emotional reactivity despite doing all the “right” things. My approach blends thoughtful medication management with a deep respect for the mind-body connection. I believe that healing happens when we address the root causes—not just the symptoms. Together, we’ll explore what’s worked, what hasn’t, and create a personalized plan that may include medication, supplement support, lifestyle shifts, and therapy-informed strategies for nervous system regulation. I’m currently accepting new patients with Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, and Moda. If you’re looking for a provider who listens deeply and brings both clinical expertise and a holistic lens to treatment, I’d love to work with you.

What should a new client know about working with you?

When you work with me, you can expect a collaborative, thoughtful approach where your voice and goals guide the process. I listen carefully to your story and tailor treatment to fit your needs, whether that involves medication, integrative supports, or strategies to regulate stress and improve daily functioning. My style is warm and nonjudgmental, with a touch of humor to keep us grounded. I aim to create a space where you feel both understood and empowered in your healing journey.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

In our first session, I’ll take time to get to know you — your history, current concerns, and what you’d like to see change. We’ll look at both your mental health symptoms and the bigger picture of your life, including stress, sleep, nutrition, and relationships. From there, I’ll share my impressions and we’ll create a plan together. Follow-up sessions are more focused and collaborative—we’ll review how you’re responding to treatment, adjust medications or supplements if needed, and integrate therapy-informed strategies to support lasting change. While I don’t provide formal weekly psychotherapy, I do incorporate therapeutic tools and mind-body approaches into our visits.
