About Dr. Madhavi Meka

Dr. Meka received her Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery from Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, Secunderabad. She completed her internship in General Surgery at the University of North Dakota and her residency in General Surgery at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Georgia. During medical school, she received training in venous valve repairs, deep venous reconstructions, and perforator ablations. During her General Surgery residency, she developed core vascular surgery operating skills and presented and published several vascular papers. She then completed advanced training in endovascular techniques during her vascular surgery fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, which she completed in 2011. After fellowship, Dr. Meka worked as a consulting vascular surgeon at Harris Methodist Hospital in Texas. She subsequently took an academic vascular surgery position at the VA Medical Center in Phoenix, affiliated with Banner University Medical Center. She holds a position as Clinical Assistant Professor and is double board-certified by the American Board of Vascular Surgery and the American Board of Vascular Medicine. Dr. Meka is a fellow of the Society for Vascular Surgery and participates in several committees involved in creating guidelines for vascular care.
