Madison Bertram is a board-certified Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who treats adult patients with a variety of mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, OCD, bipolar disorder, PTSD, and ADHD. She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Kentucky and earned her Master's in Psychiatric Nursing from Northern Kentucky University. Madison began her career working at Cincinnati Children's Hospital and has now been with BlueSky for around two years. She believes in a collaborative approach between patient and provider!

Madison believes in the importance of building a long lasting relationship
with her patients by providing an individualized approach to treatment. She
always encourages her patients to be an active participant in their
treatment and is committed to working together with them to reach their
unique goals.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
Madison understands that seeking treatment for mental health disorders is difficult but encourages those in need to do so, as everyone deserves to be happy and healthy. She is focused on providing evidence based treatment through the use of medication and nonpharmacologic treatments. She takes the time to understand each patient’s unique situation and offer her support through their mental health journey.
While not working, Madison enjoys being active outdoors, traveling, and
spending time with her family, friends, and pup!

I did not feel heard or understood by the clinician. Instead she seemed like she was completing a checklist, and did not seem interested in nuance. To be fair she was generous with her time and let me speak, I just don't think we were on the same page. I went seeking help for a specific issue, and left feeling defeated and wishing I never made the appointment.

The scheduling through ZocDoc was a bit confusing, as they schedule in central time and my provider and I are both in Eastern standard time, but the provider I met with was excellent, listened to my concerns, and made a good plan with follow up steps to help guide me through the next month or so.
