Madison Webb, LMFT

Marriage and Family Therapist
CA
After several years in community mental health, I transitioned to private practice to provide more personalized and flexible care to my clients. In my private practice, I continue to work with a diverse clientele, allowing me to tailor my therapeutic approach to the unique needs and goals of each client. This setting offers a more individualized and intensive therapeutic experience. In private practice, I have expanded my repertoire of therapeutic techniques and interventions, incorporating approaches such as CBT, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT). These methodologies enable me to address a broad spectrum of mental health issues, including relationship difficulties, life transitions, anxiety and depression, and personal growth. Utilizing an eclectic blend of skills building and emotional processing, me and my clients work together in a collaborative process to explore challenges, identify strengths, and develop strategies for positive change, helping my clients get to the root of their concerns while maintaining a focus on resiliency and healing.

What should a new client know about working with you?

Starting therapy can feel overwhelming, whether it's your first time or you're giving it another try. Sharing your experiences and emotions isn't easy, and I understand that. My goal is to create a welcoming and non-judgmental environment where you can explore your feelings at your own pace. The bond between a client and therapist is crucial for making progress. That's why I emphasize open communication and value your feedback. Together, we'll create a space where you feel safe and empowered to discuss what’s working, what isn’t, and what you hope to achieve in our sessions. Your comfort and growth are my top priorities, and I'm here to support you every step of the way.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

I take a more eclectic approach to therapy and don't believe that "one size fits all". Since becoming a therapist, I quickly learned that it's most important to connect on a human level with each client instead of meeting them at the door with a theoretical orientation they need to fit into. We'll collaborate on the best ways and approaches to address your concerns and work toward your end goals. However, my repertoire usually consists of a mix of psycho-education, skills building, and processing. I use a mix of skills based and process oriented approaches. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to manage your emotions while also gaining an understanding the root of the problem. I work with individuals who are tired of managing their symptoms/behaviors and are motivated to explore the root of the situation. My client's are the expert in the room - I'm never going to understand you or your situation as well as you do. I am present to serve as a guide to walk alongside and support as needed.
