Getting to know Magdalene Osunde
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master’s in Nursing from Walden University. I perform initial psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment with ongoing medication management for patients experiencing depression, anxiety, addiction/substance use, ADHD, mood disorders, schizophrenia, eating disorders, behavioral issues, bipolar disorder, personality disorders, and many more not listed here.
Our goal is to work with patients and aid them in achieving and functioning at their best mental health capacity. We believe that the goal of treatment in mental health disorders is achieving full remission, and this can be best achieved by psychotherapy in conjunction with the patient’s active participation.
We are currently accepting appointments for Telehealth/Telepsychiatry. Our treatment is individualized, and we offer GeneSight testing to patients who do not seem to be responding to psychotropics or who have trust issues because of their past treatment experiences.
What should a new client know about working with you?
We perform a thorough assessment and evaluations, review findings with patient before developing a treatment plan.
What is your typical process for working with clients?
We Perform initial assessment/evaluation, after which we determine the diagnosis and educate the patient/family on medication choices. If the patient is already taking some medications and feels stable on them, we review them with the patient and discuss findings too.
