I drive 45 minutes to get to this practice because I love it so much. The front desk staff are lovely, the office is clean and swift with getting you in and seen, and Dr Chow is the best there is! Before I found Dr Chow, I'd had experiences with dermatologists where I felt like I was trying to be "sold" on something (specific brands, products, procedures, etc). Dr Chow does an excellent job of outlining all of the options for addressing any of my skin concerns, and has been a crucial resource to breakdown all of the skincare myths and truths that are flooding the internet. I always have a positive experience here!

Dr. Maggie Chow has extensive expertise in medical and surgical dermatology and is dedicated to using her skills to help and serve all patients. Her favorite part of the day is learning about patients and working with them to improve their skin conditions on an individual level.
Dr. Chow earned her Bachelor of Arts degree at the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied psychology, molecular biology, and dance and performance arts. She went on to complete a doctoral degree in neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego, and a medical degree at the University of California, San Francisco. She served as chief resident during her final year of residency at the Keck Medical Center of the University of Southern California. She is board certified in dermatology by the American Board of Dermatology.
Due to her desire to become a leading expert in micrographic surgery and dermatologic oncology, she pursued a dermatologic surgery fellowship at UC San Diego with Dr. Brian Jiang. She is highly experienced in the treatment of complex skin cancers and reconstruction procedures following Mohs micrographic surgery. She is fellowship-trained and board certified in Mohs micrographic surgery by the American College of Mohs Surgery. Additionally, she has a careful eye for aesthetics and believes that natural beauty is the most beautiful.
She has won prestigious grants and awards for her research from such national institutions as the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery.

I showed up on time but was still made to wait for over 30 mins. Then I was again disappointed to feel extremely rushed out the door by the doctor. There wasn’t even enough time to get answers for the reason why I visited in the first place. I’m frankly surprised by all the positive reviews.

Dr Chow was wonderful .
Polite , knowledgeable and efficient .
She explained what I had and that it needed to be removed via scalpel . She quickly numbed the area , and removed the growth . Done . Super quick , she explained everything , asked me if I had any further questions and I was out . Before leaving she even asked if there was anything else I wanted to talk about and took the time . Which never happens with busy doctors . Definitely a fan.

The office staff were very friendly. The doctor was kind, very thorough and listened to my concerns. However, I did feel that the conversation was a little rushed and that she was quick to diagnose and give medications.
