About Dr. Erin Collier

Dr. Erin Collier is a board-certified dermatologist who believes exceptional dermatologic care begins with something surprisingly simple: listening to the patient. She combines evidence-based medicine with thoughtful, individualized care—whether treating hair loss, addressing stubborn hyperpigmentation, managing a chronic inflammatory skin condition, or helping a patient feel more confident in their skin. Dr. Collier earned her medical degree from the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA through the Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science program. She also earned a Master of Public Health in Epidemiology from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health. She remained at UCLA for her dermatology residency, serving as Administrative Chief Resident during her final year. A Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology, Dr. Collier has authored or co-authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications, book chapters, and scientific abstracts. Her clinical interests include dermatology for skin of color, hair loss, pigmentary disorders, acne, and chronic inflammatory skin diseases—particularly eczema and hidradenitis suppurativa. She has a special interest in the nuances of diagnosing and treating conditions in melanin-rich skin. She believes patients should never have to wonder whether their dermatologist understands how a condition may appear—or how a treatment may perform—on their skin tone. Her approach to cosmetic dermatology follows a similar philosophy: thoughtful, individualized, and focused on enhancing what is already there rather than changing what makes someone look like themselves. For Dr. Collier, dermatology extends beyond the exam room. Her public health background has shaped a longstanding commitment to health equity, mentorship, and improving access to specialty care. She serves as volunteer faculty at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science and has served as visiting faculty at the University of Global Health Equity in Rwanda.
