About Dr. Teo Soleymani
A Los Angeles native, Dr. Soleymani completed his undergraduate studies in Evolutionary Biology at UCLA. He went on to graduate from the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine, during which time he was awarded numerous accolades for academic excellence and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha honor society, considered widely to be the highest award bestowed in medical school.
Dr. Soleymani completed his internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where he was awarded the UCLA David Geffen School of Medicine Excellence in Teaching with Humanism Award. He then went on to complete his residency at Stanford University in Palo Alto, California, one of the world’s most premier dermatology training programs. While at Stanford, Dr. Soleymani worked with world-renowned experts in cutaneous oncology and complex skin diseases and was the recipient of various academic awards and distinctions.
Following residency, Dr. Soleymani completed a rigorous fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery, Cutaneous Oncology, and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at the Zitelli and Brodland Skin Cancer Center under the tutelage of John Zitelli, M.D., considered by many to be the world’s most prestigious and competitive fellowship program. Dr. Soleymani’s unique fellowship training was the only program in the world that included formal training in both Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well. As a result, he is one of only a handful of Mohs Surgeons in the world with dedicated specialized training in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery as well.
Prior to establishing CDMS, Dr. Soleymani practiced as a full-time Clinical Professor of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery at UCLA, where he was also the Director of the Pigmented Lesions and Melanoma Clinic, as well as Co-Director of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship Education and Resident Surgery Education programs.

Dr. Teo Soleymani was amazing. He caught a suspicious mole on my leg that my last provider completely missed. He was personable, smart, knowledgeable, and proactive. I didn’t get to see the main doctor who was called away. But I had a wonderful physician’s assistant. She was friendly, professional and through. She took a biopsy and it was practically painless. I’ve been scheduled for a six month checkup. Very efficient and the office sent me reminders starting the week before. Good parking adds to the ease of the visit.

Dr. Soleymani is attentive, thorough and considerate. I especially appreciate that he understands 'brown' skin. Brown skin scars differently, it reacts differently to medication. I've seen dermatologists in the past that would have a different treatment plan / prognosis vs. the more personalized recommendations Dr. Soleymani shared that are specific to my skin type. I'd highly recommend Dr. Soleymani.

Honestly great experience, feels so good to find a “go-to” doctor when looking for a derm for my first ever full body check up. I don’t live close by and totally worth the drive for me. You don’t really going to know what you’re going to get when booking an appt with Zocdoc, but I needed to see a dermatologist quickly due to hives that got increasingly worse over almost two weeks. I was extremely pleasantly surprised at how clean the office was, how good it smelled!!, how friendly the staff was, how quickly I was seen, and finally how great of a listener Dr. Soleymani was. He seems caring and empathic to patients. Would pick him over the other similar doctors I went to. I wasn’t rushed out and he listened to me properly without cutting me off like most doctors. Or made it seem not important like some other doctors I been to. Super clean clinic 10/10 recommend

The only thing I would say based on my first visit as I hunt for a replacement for my beloved but retired dermatologist is that I’ve likely found the right one. He’s a real dermatologist with a serious practice and great credentials and wonderful bedside manner. Office admin great so far which is a key ingredient, as is on site surgery which is a must - no traveling to some distant place to actually treat. I look for long term relationships with great doctors with well managed practices and this is a rare find. So far, highly recommended.

I've scoped out many dermatologists in the greater LA area, and while Dr. Soleymani is out in Pasadena, he's the best! Worth the trip and so happy to have found them. Great clean and modern space, with friendly and helpful staff, and Dr. Soleymani's perfect bedside manner and well-communicated expertise sealed the deal.

Exceptional surgeon and incredible bedside manner. I had a very large cancer on my face and was told this was a very challenging cancer to treat. Dr. Soleymani removed it with ease and performed reconstructive surgery the same day. Nobody can even tell anything was done there! Very happy with my care

I can't say enough good things about Dr. Soleymani and his staff!
I took my son (who is usually very nervous about visiting doctors) to see him about a painful mole. From the moment we were greeted by the front desk my son was at ease. The nurse who came in to do the initial assessment was one of the nicest nurses I've ever met! A few moments later Dr. Soleymani came in and further eased my son's nerves with his calm and professional demeanor. He talked my son through the whole procedure and before we knew it we were on our way with a smile on my son's face!

Dr. Soleymani is an amazing surgeon with the best bedside manner. He was very kind and listened to all of my questions and concerns. He thoroughly explained the procedure beforehand, and walked me through the entire process. I’ve never felt so at ease at a doctor’s office! I was incredibly pleased with the results and won’t be going to any other dermatologist. Highly recommend!!

My experience with Dr. Soleymani was nothing short of superb. Beyond being an incredible surgeon and dermatologist, he has wonderful bedside manner. Dr. Soleymani took the time to explain his work and ensure I understood every step of the process. I can not recommend him strongly enough!
