“Very quick to see me. All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Dr. Tracy was wonderful, very kind and a great listener. I felt comfortable with her right away. I am not good with needles and tend to faint when I get my blood drawn but everyone was ready to handle that if it occurred (it didn’t). Great experience!”

About Dr. Mahkameh Tracy
I completed my Doctor of Medicine at Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences and my family medicine residency at Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am currently learning integrative medicine through the University of Arizona fellowship program. I strive to help my patients improve their health while being sensitive to their cultural backgrounds. I enjoy research and have contributed to three publications.
I try to provide the most appropriate care for my patients so they aren't spending extra money to get the care they deserve. I have outstanding communication skills, and electronic medical records help me see the big picture of a medical condition. This allows me to make good use of our time together, answer my patients' questions, and help them have a better understanding of their health.
I enjoy classical music, going to concerts or events, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.

The doctor seemed irritated with me from the beginning. I have been having a hard time getting help with long-lasting symptoms that are concerning to me. This time, I ordered blood tests on my own ahead of time, with suggestions from my nutritionist, and my psychiatrist as she's seen my struggle with symptoms for years despite increasing exercise, improving diet, etc;
The doctor said things like "you can't just google everything" "you're trying to practice medicine" "I studied this" "why did you order this?" "did you just google everything?" when I asked about things like high values in the complete lipid panel I ordered when I noticed high values in my annual basic panel.
I was really clear that I needed help interpreting results and figuring out next steps on how to rule out issues or what else should be looked at to see if a specialist referral is necessary. I tried asking how the values are different between two similar test names and that's when she really got short.
