Getting to know Malia Stringham

Malia Stringham’s primary mission is to help find the unique path that leads to your wellness. She believes the most effective treatment comes from a true collaborative partnership for bridging the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. Her approach is built on the belief that you are the expert on your own life and will help navigate the complexities of your mental health by discussing your history, your concerns, and —most importantly— your goals for treatment. The belief that effective mental health care requires a collaborative, individualized strategy rather than a "one-size-fits-all" prescription is accomplished by working with you to determine when medication is appropriate and when other interventions may be more effective. New clients are accepted both in-person and telehealth.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My approach is built on the belief that you are the expert on your own life and I will help navigate the complexities of your mental health by discussing your history, your concerns, and —most importantly— your goals for treatment.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

Typically we'll meet on the first visit for 1 hour, going over history, preferences for treatment, etc. We'll decide together on a treatment plan and how and when to follow up. I work in managing medications for mental health and do not do therapy.
