About Dr. Mandy Lock

Dr. Mandy (Lock) Nemeth is an evidence-informed chiropractic physician dedicated to helping individuals within the greater Milford community decrease pain and improve quality of life through chiropractic manual therapy and myofascial release technique. She works with patients of all ages and backgrounds to identify and address painful conditions relating to dysfunction of the musculoskeletal system.
Dr. Mandy is also passionate about nutrition and is currently completing post-doctorate study in functional medicine.
She earned her Doctor of Chiropractic degree, graduating with honors from the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic. While completing her degree, Dr. Mandy participated in a clinical clerkship rotation at the Veteran’s hospital in Newington, CT, as well as an advanced radiology rotation at Stony Brook University Medical Center’s Department of Neuroradiology.
Dr. Mandy holds Bachelor’s degrees in human biology from Cleveland University and ballet performance from the University of Utah. With the majority of her pre-professional life being dedicated to dance and dance education, Dr. Mandy developed a curiosity for understanding the musculoskeletal system and the importance of its proper function in concert with diet, exercise, and stress management to overall wellbeing.

I have been dealing with physical issues for many years and have been to many Doctors trying to figure out what my issues were stemming from! I have narrowed it down to compressed discs in my Lumbar spine. The Doctor I am seeing for this right now is treating me with medication and what I want to do is find another way to feel better so that is why I am here! From my first appointment I am confident that Mandy Lock is going to be able to help me! looking forward to my treatment with her

One of the best doctors I have seen. I went to 2 other doctors for the pain I had and they both just brushed me off. I left with no diagnosis no advice for home care no plan nothing. I went to see Dr. Mandy and she immediately listened to where my pain was and actually assed the area where I'm feeling pain not just where my initial injury was that triggered the pain. We have a plan and I now know what was the cause of my pain. I'm not left wondering and worrying for months. I was feeling very emotional hurting and neglected when I came in due to my previous experiences with the other doctors of a different practice. And left feeling like myself again. I cannot thank her enough! I highly recommend this place and Dr. Mandy and have already told family members to go here!

Dr. Mandy is great, I have see her off and on for the last year or so, as needed. She listens, she remembers the specifics of my history/case, she is genuinely caring, and adjusts me in a supportive and non-abrasive manner while still being effective and incorporating movement & soft tissue modalities as well. Dr. Mike is also great, I saw him once when she was out of town. The entire staff is welcoming & efficient and the office is clean & inviting. I highly recommend Active Health!

Dr. Mandy is one of the best chiropractors that I have seen. She is attentive, good listener, is interested in you as a person and provides great advice on ways to improve. Her chiropractic methods are effective but not hard core. The office staff is wonderful as well. They work with you on appointments. They will call you back if you leave a message. I also appreciate the community work that they do. Overall, highly recommended.

Dr Mandy is very professional. My lower back was so painful barely able to move when I see her. She knew the problem right away. My joint tensions were relieved after a couple of visits. Dr. Lock is great! She is friendly, very easy to talk to and a great listener. I appreciated her listening to me and deciding my treatment based on what she learned about me and in careful consideration of what I needed. Not the usual "I've heard this one before" assumptions most doctors make before they hand you a prescription, then good luck and good bye. I'd definitely recommend her to friends and family.
