Nurse Practitioner (Psychiatry)
37875 W 12 Mile Rd, Farmington Hills, MI
A true integrative approach takes into account mind, body, and soul, allowing for personal growth and a move toward a wellness-oriented lifestyle. This could ultimately mean being able to come off medications for some, implementing new modalities that might have otherwise been unexplored, or staying in remission with optimal maintenance medications. As a double board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine and Psychiatry, I provide a holistic perspective on my clients' conditions. I address both psychological and medical aspects by incorporating an integrative outlook. This involves lab tests to identify nutritional deficiencies, genetic conditions, and autoimmune disorders that may explain symptoms. I specialize in treating ADHD, treatment-resistant depression, OCD/anxiety, and PTSD in both adults and children. I earned my Master's in Family Nursing from the University of Toledo, which laid the foundation for my comprehensive approach to patient care.

What should a new client know about working with you?

My holistic approach considers Medical and Psychiatric etiologies to determine root cause for some of the disease symptomology. Because our brains do not follow textbooks, our clients are more than diagnosis. We integrate personalized psychiatry by looking beyond traditional medicines and incorporating options like ketamine and TMS for treatment resistant depression. We also offer genesight testing for those who have tried endless trials of medications without any success. The treatment plan we offer involves acquiring client's trust and providing information of choices/medications for clients to make an informed decision

What is your typical process for working with clients?

My detailed integrative assessment includes detailed laboratory assessment to identify nutritional deficiencies, diagnostic tests to rule out organic etiologies, genetic testing for personalized psychiatry and talk therapy to conceptualize growth throughout the lifespan. For a true healing to occur, therapy is an integral part of treatment. My training as an EMDR therapist helps me deliver this trauma informed care to our clients.
