Dr. Manuel Rodriguez Acosta, MD

Emergency Medicine Physician
5530 Long Prairie Trace, Ste #400, Richmond, TX
I graduated with a degree as a Medical Doctor from Pontifical Xavierian University in Colombia in 1994. I worked for several years with indigenous communities in the Orinoco and Amazon basins. I then moved to the USA and began working as a medical assistant in a primary care facility before relocating to the Northeast. I started my residency in Emergency Medicine at New York Medical College, obtaining the title of Emergency Physician in 2009. I initially worked at Bridgeport Hospital, part of the Yale New Haven Hospital system. In 2012, I moved to Texas, where I got my first pair of cowboy boots and hat. I haven’t moved since. I love traveling; even though I’ve been to more than fifty countries, I feel there is still so much to explore, visit, and learn. Astrophotography, as well as landscape and wildlife photography, are my favorite hobbies. I enjoy a long, good drive as much as a good read. Every year, I try to visit a different National Park to experience what makes the soul of this beautiful land and its people so unique and vibrant. My motto is to take in as much as you possibly can while here on this wonderful Earth.
