About Dr. Marc Chodos
Dr. Chodos is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in the foot and ankle. He is available for examinations and consultations at the George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates. He is the associate program director of the residency program in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery, George Washington University. Chodos is a solid doctor. I've seen several podiatrists and foot/ankle orthos in the past few years for issues related to a fairly significant injury, and I find him to be a good mix of being competent, practical, laid-back/friendly, and also pretty patient (I arrive with a list of questions). Bonus for being responsive via the portal/email to occasional quickie/followup questions. Can't speak to his surgical skills but hopefully it will never come to that point.

I thought the doctor's bedside manner was exceptional. My weight from the time of registering to being seen by the physicians assistant was not very long. after that I went for my x-ray and my weight was maybe 5 minutes before I went to see the tech. After that I was escorted back to the room and seen by the doctor shortly thereafter. The doctor was great with his bedside manner and communicated well with me and provided good service

Dr. Chodos is honestly one of the best, if not the best, doctor I have seen. He has a wonderful bedside manner; he’s so jolly and fun. I had ankle surgery about 3 months ago and I’m already walking 4-5 miles a day. The healing process from his surgery was seamless and easy. I felt safe with him and I would recommend him for any orthopedic procedure or consultation. In fact, I liked him so much that when I was waking up from anesthesia I proposed to him! A truly remarkable doctor that I would happily see again.

My meeting with Dr. Chodos was excellent. He spoke frankly about my problem and offered surgical solutions. He did not over-promise but gave me an honest assessment of what surgery was needed and explained the recovery process in great detail. He did not speak in medical jargon or 'over my head,' but in a way that I could understand. He was prepared for our meeting and thorough. I was very impressed.

Caught at least one, if not two, issues contributing to my chronic ankle pain that numerous other doctors have missed and/or misdiagnosed over the years. Also appreciate that he was willing to offer a safe surgical option that can get me back to my desired activity levels when other surgeons have dismissed it as too minor a problem to need to resolve.
