“Over-all a very good experience. Front desk was really nice, thorough and a pleasure to interact with. Nurse took my height, weight and blood pressure, which is what I came in for. Also very pleasant and put me at ease. Doctor Fernandez saw me promptly afterwards.
I came prepared with a graphical chart with blood pressure readings I self-monitored the previous 10 days. With that information, we were able to cut to the chase and spend quality time discussing my current condition and options for treatment. Given additional variables as age and family history, we agreed to a treatment plan that was both practical and favorable for success. Looking forward to my follow-up visit with Doctor Fernandez in three weeks.

About Dr. Marc Fernandez
This is a PRIMARY CARE visit - not a specialist appointment (for example, dermatology or obstetrics and gynecology).
Born in Mississippi and raised in New Iberia, Louisiana, Dr. Marc Fernandez brings warmth, experience, and a patient-first approach to family medicine. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, graduating Cum Laude, before earning his Doctor of Medicine from LSU School of Medicine in New Orleans. Dr. Fernandez completed his Family Medicine Residency through LSU, where he primarily trained in Lafayette, Louisiana, and served as Chief Resident. He was also a recipient of the Rural Scholars Track fellowship.
Before joining AllCare, Dr. Fernandez gained extensive clinical experience in family medicine, urgent care, and five years of rural emergency medicine. Coming from a family of doctors and nurses, his passion for medicine was sparked early in life and has remained his calling ever since.
Outside of work, Dr. Fernandez enjoys playing guitar and spending time with his wife, their four sons, and the family’s two dogs and two cats. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and the American Medical Association (AMA).

So refreshing to actually see the provider with whom I booked my appt. Also refreshing to have the doctor SIT DOWN and TALK with me rather than stand at their computer asking questions with no eye contact (more concerned with charting than having a conversation). Got seen in a timely fashion. Everyone was professional yet friendly. Very pleased with this experience! I do believe I’ve found my new PCP!

I had a great visit at my scheduled appointment today. From the beginning the front office medical assistant was very welcoming and professional. Then immediately the back office medical assistant guided me to the back and took my vitals also asked me some medical history questions and prepared me to see the doctor. The doctor’s staff was very unwelcoming. The front desk attendant was not friendly nor professional. The doctor’s assistant taking my vitals did not conduct themselves in a professional manner. The doctor also referred me to a specialist that was out of network. I would not recommend going to this office.

Terrific PCP who spent so much time addressing ALL of my concerns. I'll be recommending him and his practice to all my family and friends.
He explained the science behind many of the concerns and conditions of people my age and it put my mind at ease that no matter what happened he would be there to help and put together a plan to get things back on track!
PA and nursing staff was terrific as well!
