My name is Marc Giant, Registered Dietitian and Certified Nutrition Coach. I assist those who want to extend their lives as long as possible and lose weight one final time through a sustainable approach. This requires reversing psychological, emotional, physical, and mental health challenges, as well as undoing the bad habits that have gotten you to where you are. You must want this as badly as your life depends on it—because it does. I have been a Registered Dietitian since 2017, with a Bachelor's in Dietetics from Eastern Michigan University. I have coached clients who have lost a substantial amount of weight and KEPT it off long term. How? Certainly not by just giving out basic meal plans, but by coaching the habits required to get you where you want to be. Developing, modifying, practicing, and tracking good habits is essential for losing weight at a healthy pace and keeping it off forever. I practice what I preach. Why? I wouldn’t feel right telling clients to do things outside their comfort zones while I stayed comfortably inside mine. I keep myself in the best shape I possibly can—mentally, emotionally, physically, and psychologically. By practicing mental strength, my physicality naturally follows. In other words, if you focus on being mentally resilient with your exercise and disciplined with your eating habits, a good, healthy body will naturally follow. I have run many 5Ks, half marathons, and the Detroit full marathon, but I have purposefully avoided competitions. Competitions often create an all-or-nothing mindset: you go all in when competing, then let go afterward, which increases the risk of being worse off long term. I am much more interested in simply competing with myself every single day to stay consistent for the long haul.
