About Dr. Marc Meulener
Dr. Marc Meulener, MD, PhD, is a board-certified dermatologist and the founder of Choice Dermatology. Born in Salamanca, Spain, and raised in New Jersey, Dr. Meulener has built an exceptional career grounded in rigorous scientific training, advanced clinical expertise, and a deep commitment to serving his patients.elevating the field of dermatology.
He earned a full academic scholarship to the University of Richmond, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and minors in Chemistry and Computer Science. He completed both his medical and doctoral degrees at the University of Pennsylvania through the prestigious, fully funded Medical Scientist Training Program, where he conducted extensive research to deepen his understanding of skin disease.
Dr. Meulener completed his dermatology residency at Columbia Presbyterian and Saint Luke’s Roosevelt and Columbia Presbyterian Hospitals in Manhattan, where he was elected Chief Resident by his peers. He went on to pursue advanced fellowship training in Dermatopathology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. This dual foundation – a PhD in genetics and specialty training in dermatology and dermatopathology – provides him with a uniquely comprehensive perspective on diagnosing and treating complex skin conditions.
He is also the founder of the Choice Aesthetics Academy, an educational program designed for practitioners seeking advanced training in neurotoxin and dermal filler techniques. The academy offers multiple courses throughout the year, blending hands-on training with evidence-based instruction.
Dr. Meulener is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the New Jersey Dermatologic Society.
