About Dr. Marcela Fundaminsky

I am a primary care physician at Memorial Healthcare System, caring for patients with chronic diseases and conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, arthritis, heart disease, kidney disease, skin problems, and pulmonary diseases like asthma and COPD. I also treat everyday illnesses including the common cold, cough, flu, sore throat, ear infections, and urinary tract infections. I was drawn to family medicine because it allows me to help people improve their health with a focus on preventive care. I enjoy partnering with my patients and working as a team to make positive changes in their health. I see all my patients as full and complex human beings, not just the condition or concern they present. Many factors in our lives influence health, and I believe it is important to consider the physical, mental, and spiritual aspects to determine the best path forward. I earned my medical degree from Universidad Central de Venezuela Escuela de Medicina Luis Razetti and completed my residency in Family Medicine at Jackson Memorial Hospital. In addition to working with patients and families, I hold a Master of Public Health degree, which broadens my perspective on health prevention from the individual level to society and communities.
