Dr. Marcela Serrano was drawn to Family Medicine because it allows her to care for all ages and get to know families. An avid traveler and explorer, Dr. Serrano is active in sports-especially running. She is training for Half IronMan Boulder and has completed 50-mile bike races in Mexico.
Dr. Serrano speaks Spanish and volunteers at an organization in Boulder, giving health topic lectures to women in Spanish. She is married with two children and the proud parent of a rescue Lab named Coco.

I went for a new patient evaluation so I had never been to Dr Serrano's practice before. I was informed that I would be meeting with the Nurse Practitioner, not the doctor, when I arrived. That said, the Nurse Practitioner was OUTSTANDING: friendly and thorough. Everyone I encountered from the front desk to the other nurses who took my blood pressure and did my blood tests were professional, friendly, and made me feel comfortable. Before I left the office I had two follow-up appointments already scheduled. Awesome.

I felt very comfortable there which is very important to me. Truly the best experience I have ever had with a PCP appointment the nurses made it even more comfortable and wonderful. Heather in particular was great. As a young woman being at a doctors office can feel scary or uncomfortable and voulnerable but this place made it so easy for me.
