Hi, I’m Dr. Margaret Dorfman, founder of Raspberry Health—where mental health meets brain health. I’m a clinical psychologist with advanced training in neuropsychology and health psychology. At Raspberry Health, I offer integrated and holistic care for adults navigating anxiety, depression, cognitive changes, and life transitions, as well as those hoping to preserve or enhance their brain health. Whether you're feeling low or anxious, managing a chronic medical condition, or looking to strengthen your brain health—or all of the above—I invite you to reach out. You don’t have to navigate this alone. I have extensive experience working with individuals who are managing both mental health symptoms and chronic health conditions. I completed a postdoctoral fellowship in multiple sclerosis at The Mount Sinai Hospital’s Department of Neurology, where I specialized in treating patients with complex emotional and cognitive needs. I’ve worked closely with individuals facing comorbid anxiety and depression, as well as the stressors that accompany chronic illness, fatigue, and invisible symptoms. My approach blends science, compassion, and collaboration. I believe in looking at the full picture—emotional patterns, brain-based functioning, lifestyle, and identity—to create care that is both evidence-based and deeply personal.

What should a new client know about working with you?

At Raspberry Health, my approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative. I don’t just focus on symptoms—I seek to understand the full picture of who you are and what’s impacting your wellbeing. My therapeutic style blends psychodynamic and relational insight with practical tools from cognitive-behavioral and mindfulness-based therapies. I also bring a brain-based lens to our work, attending to lifestyle factors like sleep, stress, and nutrition that shape how we feel and function. Whether you’re looking for help with anxiety, burnout, low mood, or cognitive clarity, I strive to offer care that is personal, science-informed, and truly holistic.

What is your typical process for working with clients?

When you begin care at Raspberry Health, we’ll take time to understand your concerns, history, and goals through thoughtful, structured conversations. I work with adults and older adults who may be struggling with anxiety, mood, cognitive changes, or a desire to feel more mentally clear and emotionally grounded. My process is integrative and holistic. We may work toward reducing symptoms like worry, low energy, or brain fog, but also target modifiable risk factors that support long-term brain and mental health—such as improving sleep, nutrition, physical activity, stress regulation, and social connectedness. We’ll collaborate to strengthen protective factors, reduce emotional and cognitive vulnerabilities, and help you build a lifestyle that supports clarity, focus, and resilience. Over time, sessions may include insight-oriented work, cognitive-behavioral tools, brain-based education, and practical strategies for change. If cognitive concerns are present, I may integrate screening or monitoring as part of treatment. Whether we’re addressing depression, loneliness, burnout, or brain health preservation, care at Raspberry Health is grounded in science and tailored to who you are—where mental health meets brain health. Whether you’re facing anxiety, adjusting to a health diagnosis, or simply hoping to feel clearer and more resilient, I’m here to help you move forward with care, clarity, and support. **Booking for NEW PATIENTS ONLY to schedule a complimentary 15-minute phone consultation.
