About Dr. Margaret Hart
Sr. Edith Mary Hart, DO is a family physician, geriatrician, and a professed member of the Religious Sisters of Mercy of Alma, Michigan.
She graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine with a Doctorate in Osteopathic Medicine in 2006. She completed her residency in Family Medicine at Sparrow Health System/Michigan State University in 2010 and her fellowship in Geriatric Medicine from Michigan State University in 2011 and a MA in Theology from St. Charles Borromeo Seminary in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2020.
Dr. Hart was in private practice at Sacred Heart Mercy Health Care Center in Jackson, Minnesota for 7 years. During that time, she worked in Emergency medicine and served as the director of Emergency and Trauma Services for Sanford Jackson Medical Center. In addition, she was the medical director for a Long-Term Care facility and for hospice services in Jackson, Minnesota.
She joined Immaculate Heart of Mary Family Health Center in February, 2022. Dr. Hart sees patients of all ages.

I was seen for an acute illness. That was taken care of with medication prescriptions called in to my pharmacy.
The doctor listened and did not make me feel rushed. I appreciated that very much.
I do think this office should not show up for any vaginal care that is needed.

Dr. Margaret Hart and her staff were terrific. She was patient, understanding, took the time to answer my concerns, and was very knowledgeable. If it was not for the fact that she was a DOCTOR, I know that she would be the PERFECT FIRST GRADE TEACHER, that any parent would trust, as she was very patient, friendly, and outgoing.
She understood my issues, was willing to listen. Her staff was very friendly and approachable. Her office is willing to do medical testing and blood draws through SONORA QUEST LABS, which fits in well with my other doctor specialists, who also use SONORA. So, I will never again have to deal with any primary care doctors, who draw my blood ... but don't wish to give me any results. Dr. Hart is a great find, and I hope she does not retire for a long time.
