About Margaret Hazelton

Margaret Hazelton is a board-certified physician assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants and is currently licensed to practice in Texas. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2018 from Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans, LA. After taking a year off to gain healthcare experience as an Emergency Medicine Medical Scribe, Margaret continued her education at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, earning her Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2021. Upon graduation, she began her career as a women’s health provider at Community Health Network’s League City location. Margaret is passionate about building patient-centered relationships that help patients feel comfortable and safe with her as their provider. She believes in delivering comprehensive, preventative healthcare to all patients while also managing chronic diseases.
MyCHN Providers will no longer prescribe certain medications—including benzodiazepines, adult stimulants, anxiolytics, mood stabilizers, and hydrocodone—unless medically necessary and with current prescription bottles. This change is part of a patient safety initiative. While these medications can be effective for certain treatments, all departments, in agreement with the quality management team, recognize that some pose high risks for dependence or abuse over the long term. These medications include, but are not limited to:
• Soma, Xanax, Valium, Ativan, Lorazepam, Diazepam, Clonazepam, Klonopin
• Adderall, Ritalin, Vyvanse, Methylin, Intuniv, Concerta, Strattera
• Vicodin, Norco, Hydrocodone, Hycet, Lortab, Fentanyl, Morphine, OxyContin
Your provider will work with you to discuss medication safety and may refer you to a behavioral health consultant, psychiatrist, pain management specialist, or chemical dependency program as appropriate.

As it being my first time there and a new adult and new patient. They were really helpful with my visit today. They went through the steps with me and explained everything of how the visit would go. When I asked questions they didn't seem annoyed they were very patient and understanding!

I will not go back to this office or this provider. I took 5 pregnancy tests that were negative when my cycle was late. I fortunately work in a setting that utilizes trans abdominal ultrasounds and was able to see from the images, that there was no IUP. After visiting this office, I was told that my urine came back positive. I told the provider about not seeing an IUP and the 5 negative pregnancy tests. She told me “ Well, our ultrasound techs are here on Tuesdays and Thursdays. If you want an ultrasound we can schedule you then, but I don’t think you need one.” Mind you, I’ve been spotting for several days now. I start to have pain the next day (which is Tuesday) so I returned to the clinic for an US only to be told by the MA at the front desk “Go get an US where you decide to establish your prenatal care.” I ask to speak to the provider. “Sure, as long as you pay your copay”. I tell her this seems emergent and I need help. I leave and go to the ER… boom.. I have an ectopic pregnancy.

The minute I walked in the ladies were so friendly and polite. They answered all my questions. The wait time was less than 5 mins. And my physician Margaret waited patiently till I asked her all my questions and she explained everything to me, so that I may understand it better. If I could give 110% as well as 5 stars that would be awesome.

One of the best experiences ive had while getting a papsmear. Ms. Hazelton made me feel very comfortable and we discussed all of my concerns. I dont recall the nurses name but she was friendly as well and was gentle while drawing blood for my tests. Will recommend Ms. Hazelton to my family and friends!

I was honestly so nervous for my first visit, but Ms. /Mrs. Hazelton made me feel very comfortable and relaxed. She’s also very helpful with any questions or concerns I may have. Very sweet as well and has a lovely smile that makes you feel safe.

The whole visit from the front desk, to the medical assistant to the Physician Associate were extremely professional yet kind and friendly. The pharmacy staff also provided excellent care in both filling the prescription and in educating me about my new medication. I would recommend this clinic without hesitation!
