About Margarita Ticona
Margarita Ticona is a Foreign Physician and a Family Nurse Practitioner; she graduated as a Medical Doctor in Peru, her country of origin, where she worked in several Family Practice Medical Centers along the coast and jungle. In Peru, she was awarded with the first position nation-wide on performing the most number of tubal ligation surgeries in the country. She graduated with her Bachelor in Science, Cum Laude, from FIU. She achieved her Master of Science at FIU graduating as an Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) in 2011 with the specialty of Family Medicine. She is board Certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She speaks English and Spanish fluently, and is working on her French.
Margarita enjoys going to the gym and dancing, and she especially likes Zumba. She also has twin boys.
