About Maria Cogar

Maria is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who is committed to providing thoughtful, patient-centered care to adolescent and adult patients. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Seton Hall University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University. A Monmouth County native, Maria always knew she wanted to pursue a career in healthcare. Growing up, she often accompanied her mother, a nurse, as she cared for family members, which inspired Maria’s lifelong passion for helping others. She began her healthcare career as a certified nursing assistant before becoming a registered nurse and gaining experience in the emergency department, interventional radiology, and infusion nursing. She later practiced as a nurse practitioner in outpatient rheumatology, caring for adults with complex chronic conditions. Maria is excited to join National Breathe Free Sinus and Allergy Centers and continue building meaningful relationships with her patients while providing education and help patients navigate a variety of ear, nose, and throat concerns. She believes in taking the time to listen, understand each patient’s unique needs, and help them feel confident in their care. Outside of the office, Maria enjoys reading, baking, taking walks along the Belmar Boardwalk, and spending time with her family.
