“I first became a patient of Dr. Danilychev after I had seen a number of specialists regarding my Vertigo and their poor treatment results. She was referred to me by a friend who was wheelchair bound by a form of Neuropathy, she now walks five miles a day after treatment. Dr. Danilychev quickly brought my Vertigo under control and I am now symptom free. She has also treated my formally chronic lower back pain and other issues that come with age with a high degree of success.
We are lucky to have Dr. Danilychev here in Southern California, she was trained in Japan by a direct descendant of modern Jikiden Reiki founder Usui Sensei, Tadao Yamaguchi sensei. She is the only M.D. in the U.S. who is a Jikiden Reiki Shihan Master. She has a relaxed practice where, unlike many doctors offices, there is never pressure to rush. You will find an excellent massage chair to enjoy before, or after treatment and a smiling Buddha outside enjoying the warm sunshine we have here. Dr. Danilychev is very attentive to what is causing concern, your overall heath and well being and she has an outstanding empathic approach to healing. ”

Reiki is a type of Oriental Medicine. It is a traditional holistic Japanese mind-body healing art that is based on the idea that there is a powerful energy of nature (commonly known as Ki or Chi). Reiki practitioners learn how to channel that energy through a light touch which boosts your natural self-healing potential. As a result Reiki clients often report significant improvements in their physical and mental health.
Dr. Maria Danilychev, MD is a genuinely unique physician as not only she is a board-certified medical doctor but she is also a practitioner of traditional Reiki (Shin Shin Kaizen Usui Reiki Ryoho).
Danilychev graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a B.S. in Biological Sciences and obtained her medical degree (MD) in 2000 at the Tel Aviv University in Israel.
Dr. Danilychev completed her residency in Internal Medicine at NYU DH in New York City and was one of the first responders during the 9/11 tragedy.
After residency, Dr. Danilychev completed a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine at UCLA, followed by a 3-year clinical and research fellowship in Hospice and Palliative Medicine. Dr. Danilychev has been providing care to patients in San Diego since 2004.
For many years Dr. Danilychev has observed complementary therapies helping her patients and was so impressed with the positive results that she has challenged herself to learn an alternative modality.
Dr. Danilychev started her Reiki training in 2013 and received Shihan (Master Teacher) certification in 2016 at the Jikiden Reiki Institute in Japan. Dr. Danilychev continues to practice Western medicine as well. She is board-certified in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Hospice/Palliative Medicine.
Dr. Danilychev has used Reiki to help countless patients improve their health and well-being naturally and hopes to help you as well on your healing journey.
